What's On
Audio description is a live verbal commentary via headphones on the visual elements of a production as it unfolds for blind and partially-sighted people. We offer an audio described performance for most shows. One hour before an audio-described performance, blind and partially sighted audience members are invited to interact with the set, costumes and props and gain a detailed description of what’s on stage.
Accessible performances
Captioned
Captioning is similar to television subtitling and gives Deaf and hard of hearing people access to live performances.
BSL Interpreted
We offer a sign language interpreted performance for Deaf, deafened and/or hard of hearing British Sign Language Users for most shows.

Relaxed performance
Relaxed Performances are open to all audience members, and can be useful for those with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorder, learning disability and anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed theatre environment. During these performances, audience members are welcome to move in and out of the auditorium and make noise as and when they need to. For Relaxed Performances, the show will be adapted to reduce or remove loud sounds and flashing lights and there will be a separate chill-out room for any audience members that require it. Visual stories are available in advance for relaxed performances, which give an indication of a show’s main plot points for those who may find this information useful.
