Welcome to the Newham Neighbours Programme at Stratford East.
We believe theatre is for everyone, no matter your background, experiences, or financial circumstances. Even if you’ve never set foot in the theatre or you think it's not for you, we want to make sure you can come and check us out
We want everyone in Newham to feel welcome at Stratford East.
The best part? Everything we do is FREE!

What's On Offer
COMMUNITY SOCIALS
We love throwing open our doors to welcome our nearest neighbours! Our Community Socials are all about coming together with others from the area and gaining insight into the magic of theatre. They are a chance to meet new faces, reconnect with old friends, and have a great time together!
FREE ADULT WORKSHOPS
We have two workshops that we run regularly that are all about having fun, meeting others and perhaps learning some new skills. The workshops usually run for approximately 6 weeks.
Adult Drama Workshops & The Reading Room
Would you like to have fun, meet people and learn some new skills. These workshops might be for you. Designed for people with little to no experience of acting or script reading, these fun welcoming workshops are a lovely way to get involved in something a little different.
Both these workshops run for 5-6 weeks and we advertise them to the mailing list when we open applications. We run them at various times throughout the year depending on when we have space available.
Keep an eye on our Instagram page, @trse_getinvolved to see when the next one might be, and make sure you’ve joined the Newham Neighbours Mailing list.

NEWHAM NEIGHBOURS TAKE YOUR SEATS
We offer FREE tickets to Newham residents and local organisations for our productions! These tickets are perfect for first-time theatregoers or those who haven’t been to see a show with us yet. It’s our way of making theatre more accessible to our community. To hear about when there are tickets available, you will need to sign up to our mailing list. Priority is always given to first-time attendees, and all tickets are subject to availability.
BESPOKE PROJECTS AND WORKSHOPS
From time to time, we host special projects and workshops inspired by our stage productions. These opportunities are open to people on our mailing list, so make sure you’re signed up to stay in the loop.
