Schools & Education
For Newham Secondary Schools and beyond
We work with schools across East London to help students explore theatre both on and off stage.
From technical theatre workshops and teacher events to free teaching resources, our education programme gives students and teachers opportunities to deepen their understanding of theatre and the creative process.
Teacher's nights at Stratford East
We offer free tickets to Teachers' Nights for teachers from Newham, Tower Hamlets and Hackney.
Teachers' Nights are an opportunity to experience our work, meet other teachers and find out more about how Stratford East can support your students.

Backstage Pass: PAID WORKSHOPS
This paid package gives a school group the chance to experience Stratford East from a different perspective. Students will take part in a pre-show workshop, get a behind-the-scenes backstage tour of the theatre, and then take their seats to experience a live Stratford East production.
It's a great way to bring classroom learning to life, giving students the opportunity to explore the themes and ideas of a show before seeing it, discover what happens behind the scenes, and experience the excitement of live performance.
The experience includes:
A pre-show workshop inspired by the production
A backstage tour of Stratford East
Tickets to see the production
An opportunity to experience theatre both on stage and behind the scenes

Work Experience
We're currently unable to host work experience or placements at Stratford East. We understand that it's important for young people to gain experience in the creative sector so internally we are looking at ways to make this happen.
