We cannot wait to share what we have planned for you next year. Following an incredible first year that brought over 65,000 of you through our doors across 21 productions, our Artistic Director and Co-CEO Lisa Spirling, Executive Director and Co-CEO Hanna Streeter, and Associate Artistic Director Jade Lewis have put together an ambitious and unforgettable 2027 season.
We want our theatre to feel like a true home for bold, joyful stories that reflect the world around us. To make sure everyone can join the fun, we are offering over 2,000 tickets at just £10, alongside thousands more on a Pay What You Can basis starting at £6.
NOISES OFF (5 February - 13 March 2027): We kick off the year with Michael Frayn's multi award-winning comedy, directed by Lisa Spirling. Television favorites Tameka Empson and Paterson Joseph lead a brilliant cast through the gloriously chaotic backstage meltdown of a disastrous theatre company.
TALKING IN TONGUES (1 April - 1 May 2027): Jade Lewis directs the first major revival of Winsome Pinnock's acclaimed comedy-drama since its 1991 premiere. Tamara Lawrance and Kayla Meikle star in this intimate, bitingly funny story about love, betrayal, and belonging across London and Jamaica.
UNCLE VANYA (19 May - 19 June 2027): Rikki Henry brings a striking modern vision to Anton Chekhov's tragicomic masterpiece in an English version by David Lan. This exciting co-production with Bristol Old Vic relocates the classic story to a busy, rundown modern office complete with ringing phones and ticking clocks.
THE FINGERPRINT BUREAU (Dates to be announced): Sonali Bhattacharyya teams up with two-time Olivier Award nominee director Milli Bhatia for a gripping world premiere. Co-produced with Kali Theatre Company, this thrilling play explores scientific discovery, colonial power, and resistance in British-occupied Calcutta.
JACK AND THE BEANSTALK (20 November - 31 December 2027): Vikki Stone and Tonderai Munyevu reunite after their smash hit MAMA GOOSE to bring you a joyful holiday panto packed with brilliant music and big laughs.
HERE THERE ARE BLUEBERRIES (25 - 29 January 2027): We are proud to launch a free national schools project bringing a screen recording of our acclaimed production by Amanda Gronich and Moisés Kaufman to classrooms across the UK for Holocaust Memorial Day.
South Asian Season: Our much-loved festival returns in May 2027 to celebrate the rich diversity and vibrancy of South Asian voices and talent on our stage.
Local Initiatives: Programs like Newham Neighbours and the Take Your Seats scheme continue to welcome first-time theatregoers from our local borough with free tickets.
