An accompanying resource pack, with an Activity Toolbox, suggested lesson plans, and a ready-for-students workbook with insight text from historians, archivists and the play’s creative team. Sent to teachers in December 2026.
A specialised CPD session to unpack the material, explore teaching cross-curricular, and guidance on using drama to learn about historical events. Running in early January.
This project can be explored in History, Drama, PSHE, Citizenship or R.E. lessons, or as part of your school's cross-curricular learning. This project is available for free to every UK secondary school and education institution.
This production was performed and filmed at Stratford East in January 2026 and the US production is running on Broadway until January 2027.
Here There Are Blueberries tells the story of an album donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum containing never-before-seen photographs of Nazi officers and staff at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during the Holocaust. The events depicted in the play are true, and the dialogue is based on interviews with the people involved as well as additional historical research carried out by artists from the Tectonic Theater Project. Here There Are Blueberries compels audiences to consider the nature of humanity, our capacity to commit evil acts, and the point at which complicity begins.
