WHO? 18 - 25-year-old actors and theatre-makers
WHEN? 6 months, beginning in January 2026 – end of July 2026.
WHAT? The group will be directed by Lilac Yosiphon, with leading industry artists delivering masterclasses and talent development opportunities. Working alongside a Writer on a newly commissioned play, the 6-month programme will culminate in a performance on the Stratford East stage in late July.

WHO? Young people aged 15–19 living in Newham.
WHAT? This programme is designed to help young theatre makers and performers grow their performance and theatre making skills, and develop their unique creative voice. Over three months, you’ll work alongside theatre professionals, exploring new skills in devising, performance, and storytelling.
At the end of the programme, you will showcase your work on the main stage at Stratford East, sharing the work you’ve created as part of a supportive and inclusive ensemble.
WHEN? Regular Monday evening sessions through Sep-Dec, including Saturday rehearsals and a performance on the main stage at Stratford East. Please see the full schedule here.
Young Ensemble applications will close at 10am, Mon 20 Jul. We will not be able to accept applications after this time.
Please note – there will be an audition process to become a Young Ensemble member.
Junior Youth Theatre
WHO? Young people aged 11 – 14 years old living in Newham
WHAT? Our Junior Youth Theatre sessions are led by Director Esme Allman. You can expect to engage in activities and theatre games that you enjoy with your peers, in an inclusive environment. The sessions are fun, playful and open to everyone.
WHEN? Mondays 5:15pm – 6:45pm, term dates below

Young Technicians
WHO? Young people aged 18-25
WHEN? January 2026 – March 2026
WHERE? Theatre Royal Stratford East, London E15 1BN
WHAT? A FREE introductory training course offering the opportunity to develop practical skills in stage management, lighting and sound with industry professionals.
