Our ticket prices are subject to change as the theatre fills. We always recommend booking early to secure the best seats at the best price.
Tickets are non-refundable and will become void if re-sold.
Strictly subject to availability, we may be able to exchange tickets for another performance of the same production provided we are given 24 hours’ notice before the performance. This is done at the discretion of the Box Office. There is a £2.50 exchange fee for this service.
If an event has sold out we are happy to try and re-sell your tickets once we have sold all of our own available tickets, including any last minute holds we may have. Please note that we cannot guarantee the re-sale of your tickets. If they are re-sold, you will get the cash value for what you paid for the ticket(s). Cash will be at the box office and needs to be collected within a week of the performance date.
Tickets cannot be refunded unless a performance is cancelled. In the event of a cancelled performance, patrons will first be offered the opportunity to exchange tickets for another performance; if there are no alternative tickets or if the patron is not able to attend an alternative performance the full purchase cost of the ticket will be refunded via the original payment method.
Theatre Royal Stratford East reserves the right to make alterations to the advertised programme at any time and without advance notice. Theatre Royal Stratford East does not have understudies and so it may be necessary to cancel a performance at short notice due to cast indisposition. For this reason please ensure the Box Office has your correct contact details.
Please check your tickets and confirmation email carefully as mistakes cannot be rectified at a later date.

The management reserves the right, in combination with any other statements that may be displayed on the premises to:
1. Refuse admission of the ticket holder to the premises.
2. Request the ticket holder to leave the premises.
3. Refuse admission to the auditorium of latecomers or delay entry until a suitable break or interval in the performance/event.
4. Cancel or abandon a performance/event for reasons beyond its control without notice and without being liable to pay any person any compensation or damage whatsoever other than at the management’s discretion a possible percentage or maximum refund to the ticket holder of the value of the ticket.
Audience members who leave the auditorium once the performance has started may be asked to wait in the foyer until an appropriate moment in the performance to re-admit them. Re-admittance may be refused if there is no appropriate moment or admittance will cause disruption. No refund or exchange will be offered.
Smoking is prohibited within the building.
The use of photographic or recording equipment is not allowed within the building, unless otherwise stated.
Buggies and large bags may be left with the Ushers at the owner’s own risk during the performance. We do not have a cloakroom so any bags and coats will need to be taken into the auditorium during the performance.
Theatre Royal Stratford East cannot permit glassware to be brought into the auditorium. Plastic cups are provided at the bars.
Mobile phones, pagers, watches and other portable electrical devices must be silenced, including vibration functions, before entering the auditorium, unless you are informed otherwise.
Strobe lighting, smoke effects and gunshots are sometimes used in productions. Signs will be displayed informing you of this in advance.
Theatre Royal Stratford East does not charge a booking fee for tickets booked through the Box Office or online.
From time to time we may send out details of ticket offers. Please note these are subject to availability, not valid in conjunction with any other offer or retrospectively. If there are any restrictions as to whether offers can be redeemed online, over the phone or in person, the individual offer will specify.
Food to be specified and unless stated otherwise you may pick anything from the menu.
Please note that if any drinks are offered as part of a promotion, unless otherwise stated they will be for house spirits, beers or wines. These cannot be substituted. Also please note we can only provide alcoholic beverages to those who are over 18 years of age. We also operate under Challenge 25, so if you are lucky enough to look younger than 25 years of age, please don't be offended should we ask for ID.

When booking tickets it is possible to make a donation to Theatre Royal Stratford East which will be added to your order total. If you wish to make a donation please let the Box Office Assistant know during your call or add an amount to your basket online.
We rely on voluntary donations to make our work happen. From maintaining the upkeep of our building, built in 1884, to subsidising education workshops, helping to fund writers groups and working with playwrights and local artists, your support makes a much-needed contribution to everything we do, culminating with the plays we produce on stage.

If required, we will endeavour to post all tickets out within 2 working days of making a booking. Tickets will be posted by First Class Post at a cost of £1. Theatre Royal Stratford East cannot accept any responsibility for documents mislaid or lost in the post.
Tickets for productions taking place within 7 days will not be posted and will be held at the Box Office for collection on the day of the performance only.
Books/Playtexts will be posted out within 2 working days, subject to availability. They will be posted by First Class Post. The retail price of £3.50 for non-current productions includes the cost of postage and packaging.
Upon making a booking, we will ask to add you to our Theatre Royal Stratford East mailing list to keep you informed of future productions, news and ticket offers. Please note that if you don't wish to be added to our mailing list, we will not add you against your wishes. We will also store any personal information which you provide to us during the booking process e.g) name, telephone number and email address.
We may also share your information with other arts organisations. If at any time you wish to be removed from either of these mailing lists you can contact the Box Office on 020 8534 0310, send an email to email@example.com or remove yourself from the relevant list in the My Account section of our website.
We are able to securely save your payment details on our system. This feature can be set-up online or over the phone. We will not save your details without your permission.
If you wish to purchase tickets using Theatre Tokens please call or speak our Box Office to arrange payment. Theatre Tokens cannot be redeemed on our website and can only be redeemed in person at the Box Office. If you wish to send us your Theatre Tokens, we recommend posting them Recorded Delivery. Theatre Royal Stratford East cannot accept any responsibility for documents mislaid or lost in the post.
