Stratford East Young Ensemble

Stratford East Young Ensemble

Stratford East is one of my favourite places to be.  Not only have I enhanced my acting skills and learnt to feel more confident, but I have also made new friends who are as serious about drama as I am. - Youth Theatre Participant 2026

Applications to join the 2026 Young Ensemble are now open.

This programme offers an exciting opportunity for Young People, aged 15 – 19, living in  Newham who want to develop their performance skills.

From September–December 2026, you will....

  • Take part in regular weekly workshops with like-minded people, working towards a common goal.
  • Work alongside theatre professionals, learning new skills in devising, performance, and storytelling.
  • Challenge yourself and discover what it takes to create a story for the stage.
  • Be part of an ensemble, working together to create a new piece of theatre.
  • Take part in technical rehearsals.
  • Perform for your friends and family on Stratford East’s mainstage.

Please look at the programme schedule here. You will be required to attend all sessions as part of the programme
