DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

To help us achieve our mission and continue to provide vital arts exposure and engagement for our local community, we are seeking a new Development Director. The new Director will help to design and drive a strategy to increase our philanthropic efforts and improve outcomes.  It will require a passionate person who will bring a fresh perspective, approach and can-do attitude.

Working closely with the Artistic and Executive Directors and Senior Leadership Teams, you will identify and engage existing and prospective donors in the work of the Theatre, to deepen their interest and support. You will bring a strong track record of working with donors to deliver successful income generating activities.  Your passion and collaborative leadership style will inspire confidence in your efforts and those of the team, as will your willingness to roll up your sleeves and embrace life within a small London theatre.  In return, you will be supported by a talented and committed team, while having a chance to work with a senior leadership team who understand what it takes to achieve excellence.

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (INDIVIDUALS & TRUSTS)

This position will take a lead on securing Stratford East’s income activity from Individuals and Trusts and Foundations, working alongside the Development Director.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent relationships with new and current donors across both income streams, although leading on one area. You will have the opportunity to work on the development of a new and ambitious fundraising strategy, that seeks to achieve ambitious income growth through Individual and Trust fundraising.

You will research, secure, and develop high value relationships and memberships as well as events and campaigns. You will contribute to strategy, creative thinking and play a leading role in reaching the team’s ambitious target.

The artistic direction, as well as the changing landscape of Stratford, offers huge opportunity for the Development team to grow its income and we have ambitious targets and exciting long-term goals.

SKY ARTS ASSOCIATE ARTISTS

We are looking for two new Associate Artists to work with us from April 2022 for a year. The Artistic Associates will work closely with the Artistic Director to generate and develop artistic ideas for Stratford East’s programme. They will imagine and support the delivery of creative projects and events, develop new and existing relationships, and support Stratford East’s network of freelancers.

We are looking for two directors, who have some experience of directing work, and an active interest and participation in the wider industry. They will be passionate about the work of Stratford East, and have an understanding of the type of work programmed at Stratford East. They will be interested in talent development and supporting the development of artists, in particular those from a background that is currently unrepresented in the arts.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

The Operations Director will oversee the smooth running of Theatre Royal Stratford East and (until August 2022) Stratford Youth Zone, in particular ensuring that both buildings are safe for staff and audiences, that the building is fully maintained, oversite of all customer facing teams and development of hires and commercial and bars revenue.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our senior team and ensure that our building are well maintained and run smoothly. We are looking for someone with an understanding of the customer facing side of operations, including experience of running or overseeing a bar, as well as some experience of building and facilities management and experience of health and safety management.

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

We are looking for a Production Coordinator to provide the highest standard in administrative support to the production department. The role will assist with the smooth running of the team ensuring clear communication within the department and between the department and the rest of the building. We are looking for someone who is highly organised, with good attention to detail, and is interested in technical theatre.

We are always looking for freelance technical staff of all disciplines - Stage, Lighting, Sound, Wardrobe, Stage Management, Scenic Construction, Scenic Art - to join us and help support our Production department in facilitating our shows.
