6pm-8pm
Stratford Park
Come and show your love for your local Newham community and light up Stratford Park by taking part in a Lantern Parade. At 6pm, participants of all ages from across Newham will carry lanterns through Stratford Park in celebration of unity and life in the area. The parade will march along to music provided by Baja Beats UK, before finishing with performances from local artists.
Everyone is welcome to attend! Bring a lantern and join the parade, or come along to enjoy the colourful spectacle.
Location
The parade will be taking place in Stratford Park (West Ham Lane, E15 4PT).
If you’re carrying a lantern, the parade’s muster point is the basketball court in the park, where the Parade will start from.
Time
If you’re carrying a lantern, we welcome you to arrive from 5.45pm, so a light can be added to your lantern.
We are anticipating the parade will begin moving at 6.30pm. Audiences are welcome to join in the parade, line the route of watch from afar.
The event will be finished no later than 8pm.
Please note: timings are approximate and subject to change.
