The Stratford East Young Company are a group of actors and theatre-makers aged 18-25, primarily from east London*, who are interested in taking the next step towards a career in the arts. As a Young Company member, you’ll have access to alternative professional training, working with professional Directors and theatre makers. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive learning environment to nurture and develop your talents.
Applications for Young Company 2026, will open early October 2025, and if selected, auditions will be in November, to begin a 6-month programme in January 2026.
The Young Company will:
- Take part in weekly workshops to further develop skills in various performance and theatre-making techniques
- Work collaboratively with like-minded young theatre-makers and performers, sharing skills and forming a supportive company
- Take part in workshops with industry professionals and start to build a network of industry contacts.
- Work with a team of industry-leading artists to perform in a large-scale production on Stratford East’s Main Stage
The group meet every Wednesday from 6.30pm – 9.30 pm with breaks that follow the academic calendar.
