Award-winning theatre company Paines Plough will be holding a special of free workshops for anyone who has booked a ticket for a Paines Plough show in ROUNDABOUT (Daughterhood, On The Other Hand, We're Happy and Dexter and Winter's Detective Agency).
SCHEDULE
10am-12pm – Casting/Audition Workshop with Sean Linnen
A workshop on the audition process, including practical work and Q&A session with theatre director Sean Linnen. He was previously Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse and Trainee Artistic Director at Sheffield Theatres and Paines Plough. He’s also worked in casting with Anne McNulty, Julia Horan and at the National Theatre. A practical workshop and Q&A exploring and dymystifying the audition process - from bagging the audition, how to prepare for it and what to expect when you’re in the room.
12.15-1pm – ROUNDABOUT Tours
Come and explore ROUNDABOUT - hosted by PP Producer or a Technical Stage Manager explaining the history of ROUNDABOUT and showing the Sound & Light Show – each tour will last approx. 15 minutes.
1.15-3.15pm – Captioning Workshop
An informal, free captioning workshop for anybody who would like to learn how we do captioning at Paines Plough, followed by a discussion about accessibility and sharing of ideas.
3.30-5.30pm - Acting in the Round Workshop with Stef O’Driscoll
Join direcotr Stef O’Driscoll in a workshop on working in-the-round. A snapshot look at playing the most exposing, exhilarating and energising of all configurations – the round.
