An Evening of Motown

An Evening of Motown

Experience the unrivalled magic of Motown in a night that will have you dancing in the aisles and singing along to the greatest hits of the iconic era.

Expect stunning soulful vocals from the charismatic Wayne Hernandez who always gets the audience going with incredible harmonies, alongside the infectious energy from his band. This evening is guaranteed to get the room moving with iconic hits including Just My Imagination, Tracks Of My Tears, Dancing in the Street, Let’s Get It On, Superstition, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and many more!

Wayne has worked with Tina Turner, Tori Amos, Blur, Grover Washington, Roberta Flack, Madonna and Rag'n'Bone Man. He has also toured extensively with Kool and the Gang, Regina Bell and most recently Billy Ocean, and is one of the singers with the band Gorillaz (oh, that guy!). Of Afro-Cuban heritage, Wayne is a long-time member of the London Community Gospel Choir and more recently the Kingdom Choir, who took the world by storm after performing at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Wayne is no stranger to Stratford East and cannot wait to return to perform on the stage of his favourite theatre. Book your tickets now for a night of soul-stirring music, unforgettable memories, and the very best of Motown!

From the producers of sell-out shows An Evening with Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley and Classic Reggae.
