The Story
Based on true events, HERE THERE ARE BLUEBERRIES chronicles a real-life mystery that began in 2007. An historical photo album dating back to the Nazi-era arrived at the desk of an archivist at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. As curators begin to unravel the shocking truth behind the images, the album quickly makes headlines and ignites a debate that spreads far beyond the museum walls. The play tells the story of these historical photographs—what they reveal about the perpetrators of the Holocaust and, ultimately, about our own shared humanity.
Free Post Show Talks
During the run, audiences are invited to participate in a special series of curated post-show conversations. These events will feature moderated discussions with leading ethicists and scholars, exploring the complex issues and questions raised by the play’s themes.
These sessions are programmed by FASPE (Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics), Tectonic Theater Project’s Content and Conversation Partner, in collaboration with Tectonic Theater Project and Stratford East.
