Young Ensemble

Young Ensemble is a free creative programme for 15–19 year olds living in Newham who want to develop their performance skills, make new work and experience what it is like to create theatre for the stage.

Working alongside professional theatre practitioners, members explore devising, performance and storytelling while developing their confidence, creativity and skills. The programme gives young people the opportunity to work as an ensemble, collaborate with their peers and create a new piece of theatre together.

The programme culminates in a sharing of work for friends and family on the main stage at Stratford East.

Applications and auditions for the 2026 Young Ensemble are now closed.

2026 Programme

The 2026 Programme is currently underway and led by Artist Esme Allman. The group are working towards sharing a new devised piece of work onstage in Dec 2026.
