Come Dancing Rehearsals

Rehearsals for Come Dancing are well underway and the cast, including Ray Davies of course, are all working hard to make sure the show will be a very special musical experience.

The rehearsal process for Come Dancing takes place over a five week period. Most of that time is spent in a reheasal studio (in this case, Jacksons Lane in Highgate, North London) before moving to the theatre stage in the final week. At that point, other elements of the production - the set, lighting, sound, etc. - all come together having been worked upon in parallel over the preceeding weeks and months.

The script, songs and other music continue to be worked upon throughout rehearsals as the show is fine-tuned. So for Ray Davies and director Kerry Michael in particular, this is an incredibly intensive time with work continuing long after the rest of the cast have finished for the day and over weekends.

Despite that, as you can see from the photos here, everyone is enjoying the expeience and are looking forward to bringing Come Dancing to the Theatre Royal audience.
