Pass the Baton - 29 Aug 2008 - 30 Aug 2008

Pass the Baton

Pass the Baton explores the choices, dilemas and fears facing young people today, as well as comparing these dilemas to those of earlier generations. A new piece of musical theatre created and performed by emerging theatrical talent in Newham and inspired by the stories of older residents.

Pass the Baton has been created from scratch through intensive workshop in just 3 weeks. Directed by Omar Okai and written by Hope Massiah the piece features a fusion of musical styles created by the New London Orchestra and hip-hop composer Excalibah.

Don't miss this opportunity to experience the talent of Newham's young stars as they tread the boards of this iconic theatre for the first time in a show which reflects the past and future of this rapidly changing area of London.

There are 4 FREE performances:

Friday 29th August at 2:30pm & 7:30pm

Saturday 30th August at 2:30pm & 7:30pm
